I know it's been a minute since my last post, but I am back with THE Pride 2019 Playlist bops for your next party, parade, or brunch/gossip sesh this month!
1. "I'm Coming Out" - Diana Ross

This goes without saying: this pop-disco classic is the quintessential gay pride song! Miss Ross was much ahead of her time when she dropped this timeless hit in 1980. You want the world to know, you gotta let it show with the speakers blasting!
2. "Let's Get Loud" - Jennifer Lopez

If you don't want to get up and dance at the strike of the song's first chord, you are NOT human! J.Lo's signature party song is one that will make you and your friends let go of any troubles by shaking your booty - and getting LOUD!
3. "Glamorous" - Fergie (feat. Ludacris)

This 7th grade dancefloor bop has not lost its magic, despite dropping over a decade ago. Fergie Ferg's lyrical hooks, coupled with Luda's rap skills, make you want to raise a glass - or bottle - or champagne before brunch even starts!
4. "Livin' la Vida Loca" - Ricky Martin

This Latin-pop crossover classic was one of the biggest hits of the late 1990s. So much so that the media and audiences alike began to question the ever-sexy Martin's sexuality upon its reception within the gay community. Having come out (on my birthday) in 2010, the song holds its place as a bop that we all can shake our bon-bons to!
5. "Believe" - Cher

An Oscar, an Emmy, and several Grammys to her credit doesn't even begin to describe the former Mrs. Sonny Bono's career. This club hit revolutionized mainstream pop for good with the use of auto-tune as well as becoming the epitome of a break-up and feel good song wrapped into one platinum-selling record - with a sequin bow, of course!
